Commentary
This sacred Surah of the Quran e Karim was revealed to Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam), the emperor, the master of all Worlds in Madinah Manawarrah. This was in point of fact a bestowal of grace from Allah, the most high, for the followers of (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) – that whoever from his followers recite this particular Surah, he would be secure from every kind of sorcery and magic. Otherwise, so far as Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) are concerned, they are exalted and so pure that even the ground touched by his blessed shoes are hallowed, and is proof against all magic; even if a person was touched by the blessed hand of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) that hand becomes immune from all evil influence of magic, even a person graced by a look of his, is secure from magic; and one inspired by the love of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) in his heart, is equally safe against magic.
We must remember in this connection, that our blessed Master Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) enjoys the pedestal of glory after Allah Azuwajjal. If all the glory of the angels, the jinn and men were pooled together before the glory of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam), it would be just like a drop in the ocean. In other words, Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) has priority over everything after Allah (Azuwajjal). If all the magicians of the world put together were to work their magic on Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) they simply could not do it. Allah,
the most Exalted, testifies to this fact In the Glorious Quran as follows:
“And (Oh my Beloved Apostle) had it not been for the grace and mercy of Allah to you, a party of then had the certainly resolved to mislead you into error; and they do not mislead into error but themselves, and they cannot at all harm you “in anything.” And Allah has sent down the book and wisdom, and taught you what you knew not, and mighty is the grace of Allah to you.”
Surat un Nisa (Women) Part 5, Section 16, Verse 113
At this place, Allah (Azuwajjal) has informed his beloved Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) that a particular group of people had decided to mislead him into error, whereas none could ever mislead him into error; none could ever misguide him. He who resolves to the misled of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam), only himself goes astray.
Here Allah has mentioned the glory and greatness of his Beloved Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam), that he is pure and free from every taint, and even if all the people attempted to mislead the beloved Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam), They could not misguide him, but would only put their own souls into error, and would themselves go astray. This is because the Messenger, The Master, The cause and reason of Creation Sayidnah Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) has the knowledge of the unseen and he knows all the hidden mysteries of the unseen and his knowledge of the unseen is bestowed to Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) by Allah (Azuwajjal) themselves.
So, who can ever mislead one who has knowledge of the unseen for Allah, for he can view the heart of the person concerned just as one would view anyone’s face. Secondly, none can cause any hurt to Sayidnah Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam), for according to the Quranic Verse (quoted above) none can ever harm him “in anything” which is a total negation. Allah (Azuwajjal) has affirmed himself to be the preserver of his Most beloved, Sayidnah Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam), and has informed us that if the whole world turned against Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) they could not harm him, and that his beloved Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) are beyond every bodily harm or hurt, from the beginning of time to the end of time.
My friends the story of Labeed – Bin Asim is false and baseless, do not believe in it, and put faith no faith in it.
In the Glorious Quran, Allah (Azuwajjal) addresses His beloved Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) as follows –
“It is not for Allah to inflict torment on these people, while you are present in their midst.”
It is evident from this verse that the presence of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) on earth is a source of our security and protection against the torment of Allah, that is to sat the Blessed Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) is “the averter of calamity”. It is because of Rasoolulah Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam presence on earth that we are secure and immune from the torment of Allah (Azuwajjal). So, when the Blessed Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) is an “Averter of calamity” how can any kind of magic work on the most beloved, the dearest, The Master Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) , nor can anyone’s magic have any (ill) affect on him. The Beloved Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) are exalted far above such a thing.
According to our blessed Mother Sayidah Aiesha bint Abu Bakr Siddique (Radhi Allahhu an ha)
One day Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) seized my hand and pointing towards the moon, and said; seek refuge in Allah from the evil of its spreading darkness when it spreads, and its spreading is in eclipse and its becoming dark.
(Tafsir-e-Kashaaf Last Volume, Pages 368.369)
The Blessed One, The Monarch and master of all worlds Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) observed that whoso recited Surat ul Falaq and Surat un Naas, it was as though he had recited all the revealed books of Allah, So my friends! It is possible to work magic upon any human being, but it is not at all possible to work magic upon our Master Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam).
Our King, Master, Reviver or Revivers Sayidnah Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) arrived in our midst in the garb of a human being. But Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) was a man of super natural peculiarities. For instance, his perspiration had the fine fragrance of musk, whereas human perspiration has a bad smell. Even so, his urine was free from any bad smell it was pleasant and has a delicious taste. As it is related in tradition, Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) used to keep a pot in his chamber for making water at night, if need be.
One night, Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) made water into the blessed pot as usual. In the morning he found it missing. One inquiry his slave-girl, Javeriah (Radhi Allahhu an ha) by name, in the presence stated “Ya Rasoolulah! I took it for water and drank it all up; it had a pleasant taste and is gave me much relief”. On hearing her reply, Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) observed: well! You and your off spring will not suffer from any stomach trouble till the last day.
Oh readers! Just imagine, If any once makes water on a hard floor laid with baked bricks, it gives out such a nasty smell that no one can enter that room, whereas on the other hand, Allah (Azuwajjal) placed fragrance in his beloved Habib Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam blessed urine.
Again, when Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) went outside the city fore relieving himself, the earth would swallow up the stool, and even that spot would give out the sweet perfume of musk.
The following Hadith is related by Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (Radhi Allahhu an ho)
“Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) said; although in truth there have been revealed two Surahs the like of which have not sent down to me; and O man! You will not at all recite two surahs more pleasing to Allah (Azuwajjal) then these two, namely Al-Falaq and An-Naas.
Among other things the shadow of our Master, the cause and reason of creation, The King, Sayidnah Rasoolulah Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam’s shadow did not fall upon the ground.
Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) has said
“Who ever saw me (whether in a dream in his sleep or apparently while awake in both cases) he saw me in all reality, because Shaytan (The cursed devil) cannot assume my form. “ Glory be! Allah (Azuwajjal) gave his beloved Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) a special form with special features that was, has or never ever will be given to anyone within the creation.
In the light of this hadith, you can well imagine that the shaytan can assume the form of every prophet and every apostle, but he cannot assume the form of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam).
May Allah forbid! To say that magic can have any ill effect upon Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) is sheer ignorance. I dare say that if any one ever resolved to do such a thing, Allah would not allow him time even to raise his hand and he would be struck with thunder-bolt and burnt to ashes on the instant.
Maulana Waris Ali has narrated in his text entitled “Shams-ul-Tawarikh! That once a certain ancestor of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) had a quarrel with a certain Prophet of his day. Who raised his hand to curse him. All at once the Archangel Gabriel, (Alay his Salam) appeared to him and said: Oh Prophet! Raise not your hand (to curse); for he with whom you have quarrel, is one from whose progeny the last of the Prophets will take his birth. If you raise your hand (to curse) you will be deprived of your prophethood. At this the prophet at once sought forgiveness of that worthy ancestor of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam).
My Friends! It is folly to take the sacred body of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) to be like the bodies of other human beings as it is ignorance. Allah (Azuwajjal) has assigned his Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) the appellation of Rauf-ur-Raheem (The Tender and the Merciful). Has any other prophet or apostle been assigned these titles? By no means! This appellation is assigned only to Our Master, Our King, Sayidnah Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam), and to him alone and to on one else.
Allah (Azuwajjal) says in the Glorious Quran once again –
“When the Trumpet will be blown, the heaven, the earth and everything will be destroyed except that which Almighty Allah may will.”
Surah Zumar (The Trumpet)
Commentators have opined that by this reservation is meant the sacred and pure body of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) and the piece of hallowed earth in touch with his blessed body; and Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) will rise from his grave in the dress in which he is currently physically present in his last abode Glory be to Allah! He would destroy everything, but let his beloved Habib (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) remain. Thus when Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) was united with Allah, he had not a single white hair in his blessed beard – and he passed away at the advanced age of 64 years and seven months. But even at that time he (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) was in the prime of his youth, and an observer would take him to be a Youngman of twenty-one. Then, what is more remarkable is that he crossed the seventy thousand veils (barriers) which no man, no angel or jinn has ever crossed so far.
Allah (Azuwajjal) states in the Glorious Quran once again
“So when the Beloved of Allah had crossed the seventy thousand curtains he saw the Splendid Sight (Allah) at the highest horizon. Then when he came nearer, Allah came down the throne to receive His beloved then there was a distance of two bow lengths or even less between the Beloved and Allah.”
Allah (Azuwajjal) Revealed to his servant whatever he Revealed to his servant whatever he Revealed. Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) said “Allah had placed me on his throne on the right side, and on the lo! Whole world before my very eyes. I saw on the fourth heaven angels contending between themselves about something.
Allah said to me
“Oh My beloved what are these angles contending about?” I submitted “Rab I know not.” Allah asked for the second time and I submitted “Rab I know not.” Allah again asked me for the thirds time and again I submitted, “Rab I know not.” Then Allah placed his hand on my shoulder. I felt the cool of Allah’s fingers in my breast and I knew of everything in the heaven and the earth.”
Now just imagine! He who has had the honour of sitting on the throne of Allah (Azuwajjal) and receiving from Allah the knowledge of the Unseen, can anyone ever cause any hurt or harm ? That is simply is unthinkable.
Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) said “I saw my Lord in a most Splendid form” Remember! Allah has kept himself (concealed) in seventy thousand veils, and it was the special privilege of our Master Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) to cross these seventy thousand barriers. Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam)then remarks that were Allah to remove even one of these veils, the sun, the moon, the earth, mankind, the jinn, angels m and beasts, everything would be burnt to ashes ( because of his infinite glory).
My friends both these surahs were sent down to guard the Ummah OF Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) and to protect it from the mischief of the envier. The Master Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) has observed that whoso of his followers would recited these Surahs at night before sleep, he would be secure from the mischief of magic, the evil eye, the envier and all misfortunes.
EXPLANATORY NOTES
The following is a so called incident:
(1) The story goes that in 7A.H. after the Treaty of Hudaibya, the Jews said to a Jewish magician Labeed bin Asam you and your daughters have no match in the art of magic and witchcraft; so try your magic on Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam). Labeed procured, through a Jewish slave of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam), some hairs of the Beloved Habib Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) head and some teeth of his broken come, made a waxen image and pierced eleven needles into it, made eleven knots in a string, and put all these things inside the image and placed it beneath a stone under water in a running well. The effect of this on the mind of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) was that it became distracted from worldly activities. Then the Angel Hazrat Jibraeel (Alay his Salam) brought the two surahs namely Al-Falaq and An-Naas which comprise eleven verses, and stating as above informed Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) of the magic. Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) sent Hazrat Ali bin Abu Talib (Radhi Allahhu an ho) to the well and he brought out the magic-stuff from the water. Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) received the two Surah’s, and all the eleven knots were unravelled one by one at the recitation of each verse; and Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) was recovered.
This so called incident has been narrated by almost all exegetical writers and some have even contradicted it as for instance Tafsir-e-Kashaaf contains a rebuttal of the incident, because black magic can have no adverse effect on his majesty Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam). Take Sayidnah Musa (Alay his Salam) (Moses) for example. Thousands of magicians were pitted against him, but the staff of Sayidnah Musa (Alay his Salam) vanquished them all. If such be the might and dignity of the staff of Sayidnah Musa (Alay his Salam) that the magic of all the magicians were frustrated, which resulted to the fact that all the magicians, surrendered to Sayidnah Musa (Alay his Salam) and believed in him. Indeed al the Prophets Alay his Salam) are at great magnificence height, whereas Our King and Master Sayidnah Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) enjoys the greater grandeur and joy than all the blessed Prophets (Alay his Salam). For this reason the saintly writer of “Tafsir e Habibi”, after rejecting the alleged story, has established the truth, with reference from the Glorious Quran, that whereas Allah (Azuwajjal) has stated about his beloved Habib Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam)
“And Allah guards you and will guard you against the people”
Part 6; Verse 67
“No one can hurt you in anything”
Part 5, Verse 113
And at another place Allah (Azuwajjal) says:
No doubt, we have sent down this Discourse (The Quran) and we most surely are its guardian.”
Part 14; Verse 9
And none has ever been able to harm the Book of Allah (Azuwajjal) in the least, nor will ever cause and harm to it to the end of time by making even the slightest change within it. Allah (Azuwajjal) once again
states in the Glorious Quran:
“Then bring any sure the like thereof”
Part 1; Verse 23
And yet again at another place
“Bring them ten surahs the like of it”
Part 12; Verse 13
Such is the glory of the Glorious Quran that Allah (Azuwajjal) himself is its guardian; none can ever harm it in the least. In the same way, Allah (Azuwajjal) has taken upon himself the protection of the exalted bearer of the Glorious Quran. So how can anyone ever harm Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam)? The glorious Quran mirrors the glory of Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) from end to end, from A to Z, from the very first syllable to the last.
If we accept this fake story as true, this is no way redounds to the glory of the Beloved of Allah as pictures in the Quran e Karim. So the praiseworthy writer of Tafsir e Habibi, keeping these Quranic verses before him and in very light of these verses, he’s established that the filthy attempts of the Jews to harm Sayidnah Rasoolulah (Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) were vain and fruitless. Therefore, the commentators who have related this incident appear to be unaware of the glory and state of RasoolAllah(Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam). The two surahs were, in fact, revealed by Allah for the guidance and protection of the Ummah against the mischief of Shaytan and the evil workers of black magic.
(2) This tradition occurs in Tafsir-e-Kashaaf (Last Volume Pages – 368/369) and is keeping with the Quranic injunction in Surah Al-Falaq (Verse 3) – “(I seek refuge) from the mischief of” darkening when it darkness; ie. When the moon becomes dark (black) in eclipse or sinks and disappears into the bottom (of the sky). RasoolAllah(Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam) thus urged upon Sayidah Aiesha bint Abu Bakr Siddique (Radhi Allahhu an ha), Mother of the faithful, to seek refuge from the mischief of darkness.
(3) The drinking up of the Urine by Javeriah (Radhi Allahhu an ha), as related by Jabir Bin Abdullah (Radhi Allahhu an ho), is included almost in every anthology of the traditions and sayings of RasoolAllah(Salal lah aley hi Wa’Ahli hi Wasalam). This is a firm tradition as stated in Abu Dawud, Chapter on “Miracles”. As it is the worthy commentator of Tafsir e Habibi never relied on any weak hadith nor quoted any such in projecting his point.
assalam o alikum. thanks to inform mr about that, i ii b thankful again u provide me Hazrat Habib ur rehman’s videos and informations.
